When the Victoria Square Development in Belfast was given government approval to move forward, the Client Team asked Coverpoint to carry out a detailed and thorough critique of the design to test the original foodservice layout plans and to improve on them.

The Client team requested detailed advice on the foodservice component within the scheme, especially on the ‘massing’ and location of the foodservice cluster and the total volume that was required for the development.

Initially, Coverpoint assessed the demand for catering in the City of Belfast and the immediate surrounding area, taking account of the significant change in the locality that would be achieved by the construction of Victoria Square.

Coverpoint also carried out observations and a critique of the foodservice areas and locations throughout the proposed development and provided guidance on what foodservice should be provided.

Finally, Coverpoint provided recommendations on the foodservice potential, taking into account the identified needs of the users, the capacity for foodservice in the local market, and the operators and returns that could be expected.

Coverpoint helped the Client Team to deliver an innovative and forward thinking foodservice environment within a series of covered streets. We were part of the wider development team that created, not just a place to shop, but a place to visit and enjoy.
